Sheldon Cooper isn’t really known for his social skills, or people-skills in any way or form – but we gotta hand it to him, he knows how to grab an audience simply by opening his mouth.
Even though he himself is uncomfortable around people, and in turn makes everyone around him very uncomfortable, there are many people who want to know how to talk like Sheldon Cooper amongst their friends. Well, we’re not going to stop you. In fact, we’ve gathered a few things on how to talk like Sheldon Cooper, so just read ahead and start practicing!
1. Don’t use/or understand sarcasm or irony. Sheldon Cooper (allegedly) suffers from Aspberger’s syndrome, a condition of autism which makes it very difficult for people who suffers from it to understand it. Take everything as if it was meant literally.
2. Add a lot of “Did you know…?” into conversations about trivial things that aren’t really of any particular interest. (Such as the origins of everyday things, or the derivations of words/phrases)
3. Talk with people, even the ones close to you, as if you are above them – a sort of narcissistic presence is necessary to talk like Sheldon Cooper.
4. Don’t go for the social norms, talk straight out without censoring your words. Sheldon Cooper always talks to his friends (and everyone else for that matter) in a straight-shooter kind of way.
